Kibwezi town is one of the oldest town in Kenya established in early 1900 during the construction of Railway line.The missionaries also builder an early church there which stands up to date. The British wanted to establish it as the capital base for operation in Kenya but they were warned by a famous wizard who controlled that area called Kilundo wa Meli. Kilundo wa Meli then place a curse on white people saying if any white man sleep in Kibwezi town,he will definitely die.This curse was said to have worked and hence forth white People would not dare sleep in Kibwezi town.
