Born in January 20th 2000 and raised in Iringa, Tanzania, Jovine George Tossi, known by his stage name "iamtossi," is a talented singer and songwriter. With his unique blend of musical styles and heartfelt lyrics, he has captivated audiences with his soulful voice and compelling performances.

From a young age, iamtossi showed a deep passion for music and storytelling. Growing up in a musically inclined family, he was exposed to a wide range of genres, including traditional Tanzanian music, gospel, and R&B. Inspired by artists such as Michael Jackson, Bob Marley, and Ali Kiba, AY, Diamond platinumz, iamloui and many he developed a deep appreciation for melody and songwriting.
After completing his secondary education, iamtossi decided to pursue his passion for the arts by enrolling in the University of Dar es Salaam's Jk Nyerere Main Campus. There, he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre Arts, honing his skills in performance and stage presence. His time at university allowed him to explore different art forms and expand his creative horizons (Sanaa Blast).
Throughout his academic journey, iamtossi continued to nurture his musical talent, honing his skills as a singer and songwriter. Drawing from personal experiences and the diverse cultural landscape of Tanzania, he began crafting his own unique sound as Widanation platform for young with talents , blending elements of Afrobeat, pop, and traditional Tanzanian music.
