Wadi Maghareh

Wadi Maghareh ni eneo la kiakiolojia lililoko kusini magharibi mwa Rasi ya Sinai, Misri . Iina makaburi ya faroniki na migodi ya turquoise ya Falme za Kale, za Kati na Mpya za Misri . Wamisri wa Kale walitambua eneo hilo kama "Terraces of Turquoise . [1]

HistoriaEdit

Eneo hili iligunduliwa tena mnamo 1809 na Ulrich Jasper Seetzen, na tangu wakati huo timu kadhaa za uchimbaji zilidhuru eneo hilo na, Richard Lepsius alikua wakwanza mnamo 1845. Ziara za Meja CK McDonald eneo hilo, kuanzia 1854-1866.[1] [2] Uchunguzi wa British Ordnance wa eneo hilo ulifanywa mwaka wa 1868-1869, msafara wa Chuo Kikuu cha Harvard ulifanyika mwaka wa 1932, na uchimbaji kadhaa wa Israeli ulifanyika kati ya 1967 na 1982.
