Thesalonike

Thesalonike (kwa Kigiriki Θεσσαλονίκη, Thessaloniki) ni mji wa pili wa Ugiriki kwa ukubwa, ukiwa na wakazi 322,240 (sensa ya mwaka 2011) ambao wanafikia 790,824 katika eneo zima la mji.

Uko upande wa kaskazini wa nchi na kuwa makao makuu ya mkoa wa Makedonia.

Una historia ndefu na tukufu, ikiwa ni pamoja na kutembelewa na mtume Paulo aliyeanzisha huko mojawapo kati ya jumuia za kwanza za Ukristo barani Ulaya.

Pia unajulikana kwa nyaraka mbili alizowaandikia hao Wakristo wachanga, ambazo ya kwanza yake ni andiko la kwanza kabisa katika utunzi wa Agano Jipya.
