Eva mpya (kwa Kilatini: Nuova Eva) ni jina linalotumiwa tangu karne ya 2 katika teolojia ya Mababu wa Kanisa, kama vile Yustino[1] na Irenei[2], kwa Bikira Maria kama mwenzi wa Adamu mpya, Yesu (1Kor 15:45).

Tangu karne za kwanza za Kanisa, wanateolojia hao waliona nafasi ya pekee ya Maria katika mpango mzima wa wokovu wa binadamu ulioandaliwa na Mungu Baba, ulioahidiwa mara baada ya dhambi ya asili (Mwa 3:15) na uliotekelezwa katika utimilifu wa nyakati (Gal 4:4-5).

Kama vile Eva kwa uasi wake alivyochangia dhambi ya Adamu kwa hasara ya wazao wao wote, Maria kwa imani yake (Lk 1:45) alichangia kazi ya Mwanae kwanza kwa kumzaa (Mk 6:3), halafu kwa kumfuata hadi Kalivari aliposimama chini ya msalaba wa Yesu na kupokea kutoka kwake mwanafunzi wake mpendwa (Yoh 19:25-27)[3].
