Msikiti wa Malindi, Zanzibar
Msikiti wa Malindi (pia: Msikiti wa Mnara) ni msikiti uliopo ndani ya Mji Mkongwe, Zanzibar, Tanzania; upo karibu na bandari.[1] Ni mmoja kati ya misikiti kongwe ndani ya Zanzibar, mpaka karne ya 15.[2] Malindi ni jina la sehemu ya Mji Mkongwe.
Historia
haririUlijengwa mnamo mwaka 1834-1835/1250 AH na Muhammad ben Abdulkadir al-Mansaby kutoka pwani ya Benadir katika Somalia ya leo. Katika miaka ya 1820 hadi 1840 huyo alikuwa mfanyabiashara tajiri mjini Zanzibar. Kuna uwezekano mkubwa kwamba msikiti huo ulijengwa kwenye nafasi ya msikiti wa Kisunni uliotangulia kuwepo tangu karne ya 17 au zamani zaidi, lakini habari hii haina uhakika. Msikiti ulipanuliwa mwaka 1841, halafu tena na Seyyid Ali bin Said mnamo 1890[3].
Msikiti una tabia ya pekee ambayo ni mnara wake wenye umbo la pia (moja kati ya minara mitatu ya aina hiyo ndani ya Afrika Mashariki) na jukwaa la mraba.
