Alfege wa Canterbury
Alfege wa Canterbury (jina lake huandikwa pia “Aelfheah”; takriban 954 – 19 Aprili 1012) alikuwa mkaapweke, halafu abati wa monasteri, askofu na hatimaye askofu mkuu wa Canterbury nchini Uingereza.
Mwaka 1011, wakati wa uvamizi wa kikatili wa maharamia Wadenmark, alijitoa badala ya waumini wake akakamatwa, na kwa kuwa alikataa kukombolewa kwa pesa, Jumamosi baada ya Pasaka alipigwa kwa mifupa ya kondoo na hatimaye alikatwa kichwa kwenye kingo ya mto Thames, karibu na Greenwich[1].
Alitambuliwa rasmi kuwa mtakatifu mfiadini na Papa Gregori VII mwaka 1078.
