Wabilikimo
Wabilikimo (yaani watu bila kimo) ni binadamu wa makabila ambayo miili yao ni mifupi kuliko kawaida. Wataalamu wanatumia jina la Kiingereza lenye asili ya Kigiriki[1] Pigmy kwa wasiofikia sm 150[2]na pygmoid kwa waliozidi kidogo kipimo hicho.[3]
Watu wa aina hiyo wa kwanza kufikiriwa ni wale wa Afrika ya Kati, kama vile Waaka, Waefé na Wambuti, pamoja na Watwa wa Rwanda na Burundi.[4] Kumbe kama kipimo kinachotumika ni sm. 155, kuna makabila ya namna hiyo hata Australia, Thailand, Malaysia, funguvisiwa vya Andamani (India),[5] Indonesia, Ufilipino, Papua Guinea Mpya, Bolivia, Brazil[6] na Asia Kusini-mashariki.
Makabila ya Afrika
haririMakabila ya Wabilikimo yanapatikana Rwanda, Burundi, Uganda, Jamhuri ya Kidemokrasia ya Kongo (DRC), Jamhuri ya Kongo (ROC), Jamhuri ya Afrika ya Kati, Kamerun, Guinea ya Ikweta, Gabon, Angola, Botswana, Namibia, Madagaska na Zambia.
Makabila ni tofauti kati yake, lakini ni tofauti zaidi sana na binadamu wengine. Vipimo vya DNA vinadokeza kwamba wana asili moja, ya zamani sana (miaka 60,000 hivi iliyopita[7]) kuliko aina nyingine zote za watu isipokuwa Wasani.[8]
Mbali na makabila ya Wabilikimo, kuna watu katika makundi yoyote ya jamii ambao wanaweza kuwa wafupi kupita kiasi kwa sababu 300 na zaidi tofauti za kiafya. Mtu wa namna hiyo kwa Kiingereza anaitwa dwarf.
