George mfiadini
(Elekezwa kutoka Joji)
George (kwa Kigiriki: Γεώργιος, Geṓrgios, yaani Mkulima; kwa Kilatini: Georgius; 256/285 - 23 Aprili 303) alikuwa askari wa Dola la Roma ambaye inasemekana alifanya kazi kama afisa katika kikosi cha kumlinda kaisari Diocletian[1].
Huyo alipoanza dhuluma dhidi ya Wakristo, Joji alikataa kuasi imani yake, akauawa huko Lydda (leo nchini Israeli)[2].
Tangu kale anaheshimiwa sana na Wakristo wa madhehebu mengi kama mtakatifu[3].
Hata katika vitabu vya Uislamu anatajwa kama nabii جرجس, Jiriyas (au Girgus)[4].
Sikukuu yake huadhimishwa tarehe 23 Aprili, siku ya kifodini chake[5].
