Licypriya Kangujam ni mwanaharakati wa mazingira kutoka India. Yeye ni mmoja wa wanaharakati wa tabianchi wenye umri mdogo zaidi ulimwenguni, hata hivyo ameshazungumza na viongozi wa ulimwengu katika mkutano wa "United Nations Climate Change Conference 2019 (COP25)" huko Madrid, Uhispania akiwataka wachukue hatua za haraka kuhusu tabianchi.

Licypriya amekuwa akifanya kampeni ya hatua za tabianchi nchini India tangu mwaka 2018, kupitisha sheria mpya za kuzuia viwango vya juu vya uchafuzi wa mazingira nchini India, na kufanya elimu ya mabadiliko ya tabianchi kuwa ya lazima shuleni.[1][2][3][4]

Anachukuliwa kama Greta Thunberg wa India, ingawa hapendi matumizi ya neno hilo.[5]

Licypriya alianza kutetea dhidi ya mabadiliko ya tabianchi mnamo Julai 2018.[6] Mnamo 21 Juni 2019 akiongozwa na mwanaharakati wa tabianchi Greta Thunberg, Licypriya alianza kutumia wiki nje ya bunge la India ili kuvuta hisia za Waziri Mkuu Narendra Modi kupitisha sheria ya mabadiliko ya tabianchi nchini India . Mnamo 31 Agosti 2019, Licypriya alipokea tuzo ya "World Children Peace Prize 2019" iliyokabidhiwa na Bwana Charles Allen, mkurugenzi wa ushirikiano wa "Kiashiria cha Amani Ulimwenguni" (Global Peace Index) - Taasisi ya uchumi na amani Institute of Economics & Peace (IEP) , Australia katika hafla iliyoandaliwa na Umoja wa Kukuza Vijana (Regional Alliance of Fostering Youth) na Wizara ya Vijana Michezo na Uwezeshaji Jamii na serikali ya Maldives . Alipewa heshima pia kwa jina la "Rising Star" na makao makuu ya Mtandao wa Siku ya Dunia iliyo Washington, DC, Marekani.[7][8][9]

Mnamo 19 Novemba 2019, alipokea "SDGs Ambassador Award 2019" (Tuzo ya Balozi wa SDGs 2019) katika chuo kikuu cha Chandigarh na Dainik Bhaskar kwa kushirikiana na NITI Aayog, serikali ya India . Licypriya pia alipokea tuzo ya "Global Prodigy Award 2020" mnamo 3 Januari 2020 huko New Delhi na Luteni Gavana wa Pondicherry Kiran Bedi .[10] Mnamo 18 Februari 2020 alihutubia TEDxSBSC iliyofanyika chuo kikuu cha Delhi, New Delhi, India. Tarehe 23 Februari mwaka 2020 yeye kushughulikiwa TEDxGateway uliofanyika katika Mumbai na kupokea shangwe nyingi kwa ajili ya hotuba yake. Alihutubia mazungumzo ya TEDx kwa mara ya sita hadi miaka yake tisa.[11][12][13][14]

Licypriya Kangujam alizaliwa mnamo 2 Oktoba 2011 huko Bashikhong, Manipur, India, binti mkubwa wa KK Singh na Bidyarani Devi Kangujam Ongbi. Kangujam alianza kupaza sauti yake kupambana na mabadiliko ya tabianchi na kupunguza hatari za majanga, wakati alikuwa na miaka saba. Mnamo Juni 2019, alipinga mbele ya bunge la India akihutubia waziri mkuu wa India Narendra Modi kutunga sheria ya mabadiliko ya tabianchi nchini India.[15][16][17][18]

Mnamo 2018, Licypriya alihudhuria mkutano wa maafa wa UN huko Mongolia pamoja na baba yake. Hii ilimpa msukumo wa kushiriki katika harakati. Katika nakala katika BBC News alisema "Nilipata msukumo mwingi na maarifa mapya kutoka kwa watu wanaotoa hotuba. Ilikuwa tukio la kubadilisha maisha. " Licypriya alianzisha "Child Movement" (Harakati ya Mtoto) mara tu baada ya hafla hiyo ili kuongeza mwamko wa kulinda sayari kwa kukabiliana na mabadiliko ya tabianchi na majanga ya asili.[7]

Mafuriko ya Kerala 2018

Licypriya alitoa akiba yake ya Rupia 100,000 kwa waziri mkuu wa Kerala Pinarayi Vijayan mnamo 24 Agosti 2018 kusaidia watoto waathirika wa mafuriko ya Kerala (Kerala Massive Flood). Miaka miwili baadaye alipokea barua ya kutambuliwa kutoka kwa serikali ya Kerala.[23]

Mchango wa Licypriya kwa waziri mkuu uliunga mkono kazi yao katika kulinda watoto waliokumbwa na mafuriko. Alihisi mchango wake mdogo utasaidia kuleta mabadiliko kwa watoto wakati wa kipindi kigumu.

Matembezi ya Oktoba 2019

Mnamo 21 Oktoba 2019, Licypriya alianzisha "Great October Mach 2019" (Matembezi Makubwa ya Octoba 2019) huko India Gate, New Delhi kwa ukaribu na maelfu ya wafuasi wake. Matembezi Makubwa ya Octoba 2019 yalifanyika kutoka 21 hadi 27 Oktoba katika maeneo anuwai kuomba hatua za haraka juu ya mabadiliko ya tabianchi na kutunga sheria ya tabianchi nchini India.[7][24]

Mnamo 2020 Licypriya alichapisha barua kwa washiriki katika mkutano wa uchumi ulimwenguni (World Economic Forum) na wanaharakati Greta Thunberg, Luisa Neubauer, Isabelle Axelsson, na Loukina Tille, wakitoa wito kwa makampuni, mabenki na serikali kuacha mara moja kutoa ruzuku ya mafuta. Amekuwa akifanya kampeni ya kufanya masomo juu ya mabadiliko ya tabianchi kuwa ya lazima mashuleni na kulingana na ombi lake serikali ya Gujarat imejumuisha mabadiliko ya tabianchi katika elimu ya shule.[27]
